Last nights new episode of South Park was named “Guitar Queer-O”.

The official description of the episode is:

Stan’s superior skills on Guitar Hero damage his friendship with Kyle. An all-new episode of “South Park” titled, “Guitar Queer-O,” premieres on Wednesday, November 7 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.

Obsessed with the Guitar Hero video game, Stan and Kyle make a great team and score record points when they play. Stan realizes he has the potential for enormous success if he plays with another partner. He and Kyle break up but, without his friend, Stan quickly folds under the pressure of being a rock star.

I am a huge Guitar Hero fan, and I have all of the Guitar Hero games for the PS2. I actually bought a PS2 so that I could play these games. Before I owned the game, there were many occasions where I would have my wife and daughter drop me off at Best Buy during there shopping trips. I would sit in best buy and play for a solid hour. Little kids would come up and watch me play and wait for there turn and I would never relinquish control of the game for them. My thought was that I have the cash to buy the system and the game, so let me see if I want to get it for real. For real? Yea I said for real.

Well this episode of South Park definitely had me in stitches. The South Park guys out did themselves again. I loved the part when Stans dad was showing the kids how he could play “REAL” guitar and wanted to teach them how to play, and the kids were like, that is lame. It was also funny when the kid comes in and plays acoustic guitar hero guitar, which was just a bunch of button clicking. I know that I have been sitting on the couch clicking the buttons on the guitar while waiting for the game to load up.

The guitar hero games are very addictive. I have completed Guitar Hero II on expert and have had a blast doing it. The only downside is that it can drive family members crazy when all they hear for hours is “click, click, click, click”. This annoyance is multiplied by the harder levels and faster play.

If you have not played this game and are a gamer, you should check it out asap.
