Spring Security 2
The next release of Acegi Security is called Spring Security 2. You can read about the new security system in this blog post What's New in Spring Security 2? . This is a great post in response to a rather funny blogger who wrote Every time you use Acegi that really seems to hate Acegi.
After reading “What's New in Spring Security” I can’t wait to get my hands on the release. I do agree with Matt Raible that I hope they provide some kind of migration guide with there new release.
I have always had a great experience using Acegi. I have overlooked the huge xml configuration file, since it gives me a lot of flexibility in customizing the framework to fit whatever custom needs I have. I hope that this next release will not only be easier to setup, as promised, but is also very flexible and easy to customize.
