What's In Your Firefox?

I first started to use the Firefox browser because I was getting tired of the security flaws that were being exploited all over the web in Internet Explorer. I was really happy with Firefox but fell in love with it when I found out about the add-ons it. Now I cannot live without the Firefox browser and only use IE when it is 100% necessary.

Some of my favorite browser add-ons are:

JSView
This is a great little tool. It sits on the bottom right toolbar and allows you to view external javascript and css style sheets. I love this, because it provides me the ability to see how other people might align something on the page or do a specific piece of javascript code. Now nothing on the web is safe.

Web Developer
This is one of the best web tools I have ever used. This tool is installed as a toolbar. The toolbar provides you with so much information about your page and things you can control it is just silly. The tool provides the user to disable many things during your navigation process. You can disable javascript, meta tag redirects, cookies, page colors, and java. Not only can you disable certain things on the page very easily, the tool provides you the ability to control custom properties of cookies, css, Forms, and Images. Well if that was not enough you can also view very detailed information about data on the page, outline tables, div elements, view tag information, resize the page, view the source code, and do many different types of validations. If you are developing web pages this is a must in your toolkit.

MeasureIt And ColorZilla
These two tools are very simple but fun to use. The sit on the bottom left of the tool bar. MeasureIt will provide you the ability to have a ruler that can be drawn over objects to find the exact dimensions of that object. ColorZilla is very similar but works as a eyedropper picking up colors on the page and saving them in hex, rgb, and other formats that can then be copied to the clipboard.

Well these are a few of my favorite FireFox plugins. I love these and would not trade them for the world. In my opinion IE has nothing on Firefox and I don’t know why any real developer would ever user IE at all. So what are some of your favorite plugins?

I used to be a huge fan of Firefox because of all the add-ons available. Then, i discovered Opera, which is much more user-friendly in my opinion. Now, i only use Firefox when Opera doesn't work (or when i need to use some plugins)!
