XWinLogon Win32 X Server
I wanted to share this nice piece of software that I found on good old sourceforge.net. It is called XWinLogon .
This is a great program that will allow you to login to the x-windows environment of a Red Hat Unix machine remotely from a windows machine. This product seems to work great and the best part of it is that it is free. The only downside is that the last release of the software was in November of 2004. I wonder why no one has maintained this software for so long.
Well a description of the software from the sourceforge site is:
XWinLogon is an X-Server package for Windows computers that allows them to connect to Linux/UNIX boxes and is aimed at rivaling X-Win32 and Hummingbird eXceed. It was built using Visual GWin++ and packages from Cygwin.
Does anyone know of a better, open source X-Server package that could be used that is still being maintained?
